attack of the killer poets - the er, online reading
good evening - thanks for coming
and welcome to the worlds first experimental online poetry reading blog right here at: attackofthekillerpoets.blogspot.com/
please! bear with me for a minute.
firstly, i have no real idea where this is going - and grabbed the blog at a whim. in a fit of dreamlike dissent of er, something or other...
but the basic idea is to write a fresh poem - right here in front of this computer - in any style, any theme, anything. write it as if you were going to a poetry reading...
you then post it here as a comment.
yeah pretty simple innit - but imagine it like a reading. i'll be changing the front page each week/month - and alert the Overload_Nation list when the weekly/monthly reading is updated... [perhaps this idea will need its OWN list too. i'll sort that out as time goes on.] all suggestions welcomed... there are also some blogging techniques for you to get updates from the site. but i wanna keep as simple as possible.
if it all works well and a few people get onboard and come to the er, readings, i'll introduce themes, styles etc and have a monthly or weekly/daily topic. whateva - for now though we'll just add poems until its unmanageble... :)
SO WELCOME
make it as brief, fresh, fruity and punchy as you might do at a cranking open reading... pretend you've had a few wines or beers you and feel like impressing the punters. speech it out on the page here. the room is at yr mercy and all yr meaning belong to us...
and you dont even need to put yr name down on the open-mic list.
okay, so! there are TWO simple rules:
1. please you must keep it under 100 words of plain text
2. the poem is to be READ OUT LOUD at the other end if you can - like the consumer of the text becomes your voice kinda thing.
you can comment as a poem below to get the ball rolling. [or just to tell me how stupid this idea is]. my guess is its gonna be an award winner!

you do not need to give ANY information - except the poem text - it'll come out as the same style as the poem below - bold
[if its too difficult then i am doing something wrong - and you need to tell me]
